Camp Carter International Karate Association has been teaching traditional Shotokan karate in the United States since 2002. CCIKA was founded by Sensei James Carter. Sensei Carter is recognized as the Chief Instructor of CCIKA-affiliated Shotokan organizations worldwide. CCIKA maintains its International headquarters in San Jose, California.
